Here are a few things you need to know when visiting us at the 2007 FunFest:

*Entry to the FunFest is free to the public.
*Cover charge for concerts. Free for ages 12 and under.
*Please feel free to bring your lawn chairs and blankets.
*Food and rides at the FunFest require tickets.
*Tickets can be purchased at the festival and are available in $5 sheets.
*There will be an ATM available at the FunFest.
*Only dogs specially trained to assist the impaired are allowed.
*No coolers or glass bottles permitted.

FunFest History

In 1990 the Lexington Chamber Business Retail Council decided the Town of Lexington needed a special event designed to attract visitors to the area. The desire to highlight local talent and showcase the special attributes of the Lexington Community was an important aspect. Equally important was the promotion of local businesses. The main goal was to offer a weekend of family fun with something for everyone. With this in mind, the FunFest was born.

The Lexington FunFest is now in it’s 18^th year. Each year, the number of activities and participants continues to grow. The FunFest now runs for over three days with a variety of special festivities including a Beauty Pageant, Golf Tournament, 5K Race, DooDah Parade, Carnival, Student Art Show, Craft and Business Exhibitors and tons of great food and entertainment. The festival continues to be successful due to the generous support of our Sponsors and numerous Volunteers. The FunFest strives to provide a fun, family atmosphere. We are also proud of the fact that we continue to give back to the community that supports us. Proceeds from FunFest 2007 will benefit several very deserving organizations.
